i created multiple announcement and celebration videos for an instagram account i co-founded with one of my friends. what started as a place to post funny edits turned into a celebration of asian culture in our community. i'm proud of the work we did and even more so i'm proud of the techniques shown in these announcement videos. you can tell that i've gotten comfortable with motion graphs and camera movement motion graphs dictate the speed at which an object finishes its movement. it's a part of animation that i've adopted into editing. basically, if a box needed to get from point a to point b, it could either move there linearly, speed up as it moves, or slow down as it goes further. if an object moves faster at the start and gradually slows down, it's known as easing out. this pattern can give videos a bounce that is sudden and exciting. it generally helps make videos look less generic. easing out, which starts objects off slow and speeds it up, was also used. this is utilized to let viewers know that motion is about to occur. it lets them expect change and leads their eyes toward the movement. this is useful in making sudden movement more natural the same techniques can also be applied to the camera. sudden movements are exciting, slow movements build expectations. this was used to move the photo around and always keep the text and whatever is important for the viewer to see in the center
